Oatmeal rules

While it’s not part of most low carb diets, oatmeal is a versatile and healthy choice for most of us. I eat it almost everyday. It’s high in fiber and been shown to help lower cholesterol. I kick it up each morning by fixing it it in a variety of different ways. Add it to smoothies with some yogurt, or add your your favorite mix ins. I’ve tried quite a few and haven’t been disappointed yet. From peanut butter, to brown sugar and cinnamon, coconut oil and even hemp seed. I’ve baked it, broiled it (to caramelize the sugar on top), made pancakes and even my own version of flan using it. Use your imagination, and you’ll never go back to plain old boring oatmeal again.
