Five Easy Ways To Beat Stress

  • Breathe deeply: Inhale slowly for 4 seconds and exhale slowly for 4 seconds. Repeat this process for 5-10 minutes or until you feel relaxed.
  • Relax those muscles: Beginning with your toes and moving upwards, alternate between tensing and relaxing each muscle group in your body.
  • Visualize: Imagine yourself in a peaceful place. Create any scene you want and take yourself there.
  • Challenge: Take a moment to examine your perspective. Is there another way to look at this problem? If so, challenge your negative perceptions and reframe them in a positive way.
  • Communicate: Let others know if your having a bad day before snapping at them. They'll appreciate the heads up.
